How is Marcus Gunn Jaw Winking Syndrome Diagnosed?
The diagnosis of MGJWS is primarily clinical, based on the characteristic movements of the eyelid in response to jaw movement. A detailed clinical examination by a pediatric ophthalmologist is essential. Additional tests, such as electromyography (EMG) or imaging studies, may be performed to rule out other conditions and to better understand the neural connections involved.
