Nephrotic syndrome: This is often the first sign of DDS and typically presents within the first few months of life. It involves heavy proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, and edema. Wilms tumor: A type of kidney cancer that usually occurs in children. It is highly associated with DDS and often develops at an early age. Pseudohermaphroditism: A condition where individuals have ambiguous genitalia or genitalia that do not match their chromosomal sex. This is more commonly seen in males with DDS.
