There are two main types of ITNs: conventionally treated nets (CTNs) and long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs). CTNs require periodic re-treatment with insecticide, usually every six months, while LLINs are treated during manufacturing and remain effective for three to five years without the need for re-treatment.
