Renal impairment: Neonates have immature kidneys, making them more susceptible to renal side effects. Gastrointestinal complications: NSAIDs can cause gastrointestinal perforation and bleeding. Bleeding risks: NSAIDs can impair platelet function, increasing the risk of bleeding. Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC): This severe intestinal disease can be exacerbated by NSAID use in preterm infants.
