The presentation of TSC can vary widely among children, but some of the early signs and symptoms include:
Seizures: Often one of the earliest and most common symptoms, occurring in about 80-90% of children with TSC. Skin Abnormalities: These include hypomelanotic macules (white patches), facial angiofibromas, and shagreen patches. Developmental Delays: Delays in reaching developmental milestones can be an early indicator. Behavioral Issues: These may include hyperactivity, autism spectrum disorders, and sleep issues.
