The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends:
For children aged 2 to 5 years, limit screen time to 1 hour per day of high-quality programming. For children aged 6 years and older, establish consistent limits on screen time to ensure it does not interfere with sleep, physical activity, and other healthy behaviors.
Encouraging regular breaks, such as the 20-20-20 rule (every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds), can also help reduce eye strain.
