How Should Neonates with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) be Positioned?
Neonates with GERD benefit from a semi-upright position, especially after feeding. Keeping the infant at a 30-degree angle can help reduce the incidence of reflux. Side-lying positions are also sometimes used, but they should be alternated to prevent cranial deformities.
