The Beery VMI consists of a series of geometric shapes that the child is asked to copy. It includes three subtests:
Visual-Motor Integration: The primary test where children copy shapes. Visual Perception: A supplementary test assessing the ability to recognize and identify visual patterns. Motor Coordination: Another supplementary test focusing on the ability to control pencil movements within a defined space.
The test is usually administered by a trained professional and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.
