Certain groups of children are at higher risk for severe complications from influenza, including:
Children younger than 5 years, especially those under 2 years Children with chronic medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease Children with weakened immune systems Children with neurological or neurodevelopmental conditions American Indian and Alaska Native children
