Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs) are advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) who specialize in the care of infants, children, and adolescents. They are trained to perform physical exams, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and provide patient education and support. PNPs hold a master's or doctoral degree in nursing and are certified by national boards, such as the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
