When Should Children Receive the Pneumococcal Vaccine?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the following
vaccination schedule
for PCV13:
1st dose at 2 months of age
2nd dose at 4 months of age
3rd dose at 6 months of age
4th dose (booster) at 12-15 months of age
For children who missed these doses, catch-up vaccination is available and should be discussed with a healthcare provider.
