Pressure Support Ventilation (PSV) is a mode of respiratory support commonly used in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) to assist infants with respiratory distress. In PSV, the ventilator delivers a preset level of pressure to help the infant take breaths, reducing the work of breathing and ensuring adequate oxygenation and carbon dioxide removal.
