Molluscum contagiosum is a viral infection that causes small, raised, flesh-colored bumps on the skin. These lesions are generally painless and can resolve on their own over time. However, treatments such as cryotherapy, laser therapy, or topical medications may be used to speed up the resolution, especially if the lesions are bothersome or spreading.
