Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a condition characterized by the formation of a blood clot in a deep vein, typically in the legs. Although rare, DVT can also occur in neonates, posing significant health risks. In neonates, DVT is often associated with the use of central venous catheters (CVCs), underlying medical conditions, or inherited thrombophilia.
