How is Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN) Managed?
TTN typically occurs in full-term or near-term infants and is characterized by rapid, shallow breathing shortly after birth. It is often caused by delayed absorption of fetal lung fluid. Management usually involves supportive care, including providing oxygen and occasionally continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) to keep the airways open until the fluid is absorbed and normal breathing is established.
