How is Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Inherited?
SED can be inherited in an
autosomal dominant
or
autosomal recessive
manner. In the dominant form, only one copy of the altered gene is sufficient to cause the disorder. In the recessive form, two copies of the altered gene are needed.
