Gaucher Disease is inherited in an autosomal recessive manner. This means that both parents must carry one copy of the mutated gene and pass it on to their child for the disease to manifest. If only one copy of the gene is inherited, the individual is considered a carrier and typically does not show symptoms of the disease.
